The game cheats. That's the long and the short of it. You may have friends to play with or can stand playing with strangers, but for those of us who don't or won't, the computer side cheats horribly. It gets cats for words that don't exist. It speeds up output faster than yours could ever be. And around the 4th level of the arcade version, its cats are defaulted to coffee speed. This hurts the fun and makes the a chore to play. The word list is crazy and weird as is befitting something from The Oatmeal but the words you're allowed to use is an even smaller set. It omits common slang and instead focuses purely on dictionary approved things. So don't expect what you and your friends say to one another to be present. Also, try not to get too imaginative that hurts your chances against the constantly cheating computer.

I very well enjoy the game! However, it has now reset itself at least four times since I downloaded it, erasing progress and voiding unlocks. While the main "story" levels can be replayed in about 45 minutes or so, the arcade levels won't use any of the specials (especially the TACOCATs) unless it thinks you've played the relevant story level, and the cosmetics gained by completing the story cannot be used in multiplayer unless you go and replay the story. If they fix the resetting problem, then it's a lovely time-killer. Until then? Only three stars.

Loved the story mode and the multiplayer mode is pretty good as well if a bit repetitive. It feels like after a little while of playing the letter samples you play with repeat instead of being entirely random but I can't complain. Didi mention that this is a quality game that is free as a bird? Awesome stuff!

The game, the visuals, everything is awesome. Except the fact that after playing for sometime, the game becomes laggy as hell. I'm using a One Plus 7, running Oxygen OS 11 Beta 2. I don't know if this is the issue with the game or the beta software of my phone, but this is happening for sure. I hope that this gets fixed and I'll give 5 stars then.

I already wrote a review but I guess they dumped it. Anyway, if you are a fan of the "make words out of individual letters" type of games, then you will probably enjoy this. I enjoyed the story as it was fun, but replayability for me is very limited. Also I found it rather odd how some words were allowed but others were not almost as if an overzealous and oversensitive censorship was going on. Surf Wisely.

Really fun and unique. I do wish that there was a ratings system for multiplayer so that I don't destroy newbies, which isn't fun for either side. It can take a while to find an appropriate opponent for a good game. But I really love the defense and offense components to the typical word game.

Love the game's style - utter Oatmeal. Definitely fun.. for a bit. Long term, at least for arcade mode (haven't played multi yet), it wears very thin. First, it's kinda not fair. Imagine a "survival" mode game where the boss has infinite HP, you don't, and you have no heal. It's really just a "see how many sweet combos you can land," until the boss kills you, even if he just throws jabs. 2nd, since you can't change letters at will, every match ends with you guessing two-letter words.

Funny, challenging, and ad-free! The story is funny the first time, but clicking through all of the story screens to defeat the "boss" level is an annoyance. Some of the words are questionable, but that works both ways. Multiplayer is glitchy. Games start on top of each other, so no damage registers.

It's the cat's bananas! Great story, amazing artwork, and a clever twist on the wordcircle game format. Devs, the improvements could be: 1. Word circle can get a little clunky, needs to be smoother and larger on the screen 2. Sometimes cats come with no word option to get rid of them, that's annoying 3. Story mode should be replayable at a harder difficulty, and with a score 4. At the start of each round it tells you the best word from a round before the game even started, weird glitch

I like this game, it's fun! However, it regularly erases all my progress, which means I need to re-do the entire story mode, because otherwise not everything works in arcade mode (eg palindromes don't work if you haven't done the palindrome chapter in story mode). The non-skippable scenes really aren't as funny if you have to sit through them for the fifth time. Edit: this happened to me twice in the ten days since I wrote this review.

Overall, addictive and fun. Some value could be added in the game play: -it would be great to see your final score after losing the arcade play. -standings would be fun. -palindromes seem buggy (although I've just grabbed the update which may have fixed that). -story section is short and very beatable. -wheel redesign? My fat thumbs make a lot of frustrating errors when spelling quickly. Unsure if a larger wheel would help? Lots of fun and amusing!

Was going great until it completely reset all my progress and online stats - had completed the story with unlocks, had over 200 wins with less than 50 losses... now it's all gone. It's only a free game with no tangible rewards for all my time, but it's still infuriating and now I'll be deleting it.

Tries a bit hard during story mode. Drawing words doesn't work well: I often end up selecting letters that I don't intend to and also missing letters that I'm trying to get. The control scheme needs a lot of polish. The power ups seem like mostly a distraction.

The gameplay loop is solid. Multiplayer bugs seem to be resolved for the most part. There's still issues with letter sensitivity and snapping when swiping. It's an addictive game. And I did purchase some cosmetics to support the game development. Very fair IAP.

Interesting & fun concept, but horribly diminished by the bad responsiveness of the UI. Way too often, I have to swipe through a word 2-3 times for the game to register it, and by then, it's often too late for it to be effective, killing the fun of the game.
