Simple app with simple dial display that works well. Problem is the TYPE of ads being displayed. I can tolerate plain display ads while evaluating an app for continued use. Cannot tolerate ads that blink, flash, or otherwise try to get your attention. They are obnoxious and distracting. But the ads being placed in this app are the absolute worse. They prompt you to install another app. God forbid you fail to hit that miniscule "x" to close the ad and start the installation of something bad!

A good app for measuring ambient noise levels, but there's no way to save the data for later analysis. Most smartphones today have more than ample memory capacity to store data history. 4 hours would be a good length for storing bar graphs. This glaring insufficiency needs to be addressed. For this reason, I rate the app 3 stars.

Seems to be the only accurate one out of the three similar apps ive installed. All of which had 4.5 n above. 4.5 might be innacurate but i think, they were the 3 highest rated anyway... The other two show 30 plus decibels in a nearly silent room in my quiet house. This one shows only 21 or 22. Which is obviously closer to truth. Only 4 stars because it lacks a list of average decibels of various sounds! Nor allows you to save graphs.

Blown away, have tested this app out and I was really surprised with the results, this is an app that will not disappoint you. It just amazes me of what can be done with our phones through the tech that is developed such as this app. Great job to the developers behind this one. I fully recommend this app as it is. I am not a professional and did not compare this app with any professional sound equipment as to true db accuracies so be aware.

Seems to work well. Readings look correct though don't have a calibrated meter for comparison and it can only be as accurate as the phone itself. Would be useful to have an average/slow-response setting to give a steady reading when sound is fluctuating rapidly.

This has been an excellent tool to show others, real time, how much noise is in a room. Exhaust noise from motorcycles and cars. Lawn mowers etc. DO WISH could save the file so you can show someone later. Big drawback. Otherwise great app. By the way, shouldn't have to pay extra for saving files. The ads that popup should cover that.

Does what it says. Very cool app. Has several color and brightness options (tap dimmer button to cycle through color and brightness). I can't speak to accuracy, as I don't have access to decibel meter, but will definitely work as a reference. I am using it to monitor loud sounds at work, and using ear protection accordingly. Thank you so much for this app.

I'm really hard of hearing, by letting me know how loud my music is this helps me not damage my hearing more, or annoy my neighbors! Very handy app.

It is (as long as you have a capable device) pretty much flawless. Really simple design! Ha! I was even stoked to find out you could even change it to dark mode with a cpl color options! However, for research purposes, very accurate. My Father has a legitimate decibel reader and I think he was pissed my phone (S10 5G) was capable of such sensitive measurements. Haha. 🤷🏼‍♂️ Five star app for sure. If it's not working, your phone is too slow. *NOT A PAID REVIEW* I really was this impressed!

Very great app. Accurate, easy to use and the graph is very useful. A good addition to my note 9.

It's been a great asset for measuring typical sounds around our living environment. ie: our barking dog, vacuum cleaner, air conditioner, clothes washer, traffic noise, motor tools, neighbourhood sounds, nagging🙄.

It would be great if it could be told to run for preset time from say 30 seconds to 5 minutes. It is a really good app otherwise.

Not accurate at all. Very far off. Could be that different phones have different sensitivity in their microphones. As a 30 year mechanical engineer, I suspect most decibel meter apps are very inaccurate.

Easy to use and read. Haven't compared it to any other apps but works well for my purposes which is monitor how loud I am when I am practicing guitar so I don't disturb the neighbors.

This app is very easy to use, and, very handy to know levels at home, work and even in your car. Not a memory hog.
